Frankfort's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They skirted past the Carmi-White County Bulldogs 4-3. The Redbirds have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.
Autumn Pulliam spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on ten hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Presley Trogolo, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Reese James, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Frankfort has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Carmi-White County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frankfort will square off against Benton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carmi-White County, they will head out to face off against Fairfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
