Baseball Recap: Lincoln Lutheran Comes Up Short

If Lincoln Lutheran was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Aurora last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors lost 22-9 to the Mount Michael Benedictine Knights on Thursday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Kruz Fiddler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Lincoln Lutheran's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't).

Lincoln Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Mount Michael Benedictine, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.
