Roosevelt waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Madera South Stallions as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Roosevelt got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14, 30-28.

Despite the defeat, Madera South had strong showings from Miley Quintana, who had 12 digs, and Monica Placido, who had 12 digs. Placido has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 23-9. As for Madera South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-23.

Roosevelt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Fresno on the 21st. As for Madera South, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against McLane on the 21st.
