Basketball Recap: Mojave Takes a Loss

Mojave lost against Lone Pine back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mojave Mustangs took a blow against the Lone Pine Golden Eagles, falling 62-22. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lone Pine found their leader in sophomore Cristian Duran, who posted 11 points and three steals. Tommy Fogerty was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 14 boards.

Mojave's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lone Pine, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Mojave wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 43-35 defeat against Big Pine on the 13th. As for Lone Pine, they will face off against Mineral County at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lone Pine is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season.
