Baseball Game Preview: Grant Park Dragons vs. St. Anne Cardinals

For the second straight game, Grant Park will face off against St. Anne. The Dragons are taking a road trip to face off against the Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Grant Park has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while St. Anne will arrive with three straight wins.

St. Anne hit Grant Park with a four-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Dragons fell 5-1 to the Cardinals.

For St. Anne's part, Jacob Onnen made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Onnen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Preston Harrington-DeWitt was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Andy Cintora also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

St. Anne's record now sits at 12-8. As for Grant Park, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.
