Basketball Recap: Bishop Manogue Makes It 13 in a Row at Home

Bishop Manogue had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They skirted past the Fernley Vaqueros 46-44. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Miners also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Bishop Manogue's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josie Williamson led the charge by going 5 for 10 on her way to 16 points. Mia Hall was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

When it comes to explaining why Fernley lost, don't look at Taylor Tollestrup. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Tollestrup is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Laura Rosales, who posted two points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.
