Baseball Recap: Westborough's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Westborough took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Blackstone Valley RVT, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rangers had just enough and edged out the Beavers 6-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Rangers as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Westborough's victory bumped their record up to 2-12. As for Blackstone Valley RVT, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Westborough and Blackstone Valley RVT could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Rangers will take on Shrewsbury at 4:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (229 vs. 10). Meanwhile, Blackstone Valley RVT (ranked 61st) will meet Boston English (ranked 16th) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
