Soccer Game Preview: Newton Falls vs. Waterloo

The Newton Falls Tigers will challenge the Waterloo Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Newton Falls came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Ravenna, falling 4-1.

Newton Falls' goal came courtesy of Rayna Duffy, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Waterloo, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Southeast on Tuesday.

Waterloo is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season. As for Newton Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Newton Falls couldn't quite get it done against Waterloo in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
