Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Holy Cross walked away with it. They blew past the Acadiana Rams 13-3 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 17 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Holy Cross' ninth in a row) raised their record to 30-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Acadiana, they moved to 17-17 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Holy Cross beat the Rams by a score of 12-1 later that day.
