Volleyball Recap: Marquette Crusaders vs. Lexington Minutemen
Marquette had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lexington Minutemen on Tuesday. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Minutemen recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16.
Kelsey Cuchra paced Marquette's offense, picking up four kills. Cuchra got some help from Kinley Rick and her six assists. Finally, Rick was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.
Marquette will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Newark at 7:00 p.m. As for Lexington, they will venture away from home to challenge Calvary Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
