Basketball Recap: Springfield's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Loranger came into Wednesday's match looking for another win against Springfield, but Dequane Davis wouldn't allow it. The Springfield Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Loranger Wolves 39-37 thanks in part to Davis, who posted 16 points and four steals. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Brendon Johnson, who had six points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Springfield and bumps their season record up to 10-7. As for Loranger, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-18.

Springfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-47 victory against Central Private on the 10th. As for Loranger, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-50 win against Mandeville on the 10th.
