Baseball Game Preview: Morgan Trojans vs. South Summit Wildcats

For the second straight game, Morgan will face off against South Summit. The Trojans will venture away from home to challenge the Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Morgan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.

Morgan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over South Summit. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Beck Sheffield was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Easton Venz was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

South Summit's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Morgan, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.
