Softball Recap: Del Mar Dons vs. Oak Grove Eagles
Del Mar proved they can win big on Monday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Oak Grove Eagles 8-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-2 back in April.
Natalie Dixon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 16 Ks. Those 16 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
