Trinity Presbyterian and Glenwood squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Trinity Presbyterian had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Gators and fell 40-7. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Land Sharpless threw for 233 yards on 16 of 32 attempts. Lucas Snyder was his top target, picking up 101 receiving yards.

Leading Glenwood to victory were Trey Claridy and Nate Malone. Claridy rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, while Malone rushed for 166 yards and one score while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Malone's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards.

Trinity Presbyterian's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Glenwood, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Trinity Presbyterian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glenwood, they will face off against Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last ten contests.
