Soccer Recap: Russell Wins Going Away Against Menifee County

Russell kept a clean sheet against Menifee County on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 8-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Russell.

Their offense was hitting Menifee County from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Lily Ervin led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Russell now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Menifee County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Russell will head out to face off against Rowan County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Menifee County, they will venture away from home to square off against Bath County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Menifee County's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
