Softball Recap: Scott City Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Scott City won the last time they faced Holcomb and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Hornets 13-12. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by just one run.

Alyvia Karrenbrock was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Marley Conklin, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Scott City's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-17. As for Holcomb, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

Scott City has already played their next game (against Scott County Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Holcomb, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Pemiscot at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.92 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
