Foothill waltzed into their contest on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the George Washington Prep Generals by a score of 61-52. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Generals are ranked 539th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

George Washington Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Jaden Thomas and Gabaree Scott. Thomas went 10 for 22 on his way to 28 points, while Scott dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 53.8% of George Washington Prep's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. King Grant was another key player, putting up ten points.

Foothill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for George Washington Prep, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Foothill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-34 victory against California on the 27th. As for George Washington Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-63 win against Fairmont Prep on the 27th.
