Recap: Chesapeake Cougars vs. Meade Mustangs
This season hasn't been kind to the Chesapeake Cougars, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 71-39 loss at the hands of Meade. Chesapeake has not had much luck with Meade recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meade was led to victory by Arouna Soumaoro and Zamar Jones. Soumaoro scored 15 points, while Jones scored 14 points. Ashton Turman was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Chesapeake dropped their record down to 0-10 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Meade, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Chesapeake will head out on the road to take on North County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meade won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Annapolis at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Annapolis has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 427 points over their last seven matchups.
