Softball Recap: Bellmont Braves vs. Kokomo Wildkats

Bellmont won against Franklin County on Friday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Bellmont Braves blew past the Kokomo Wildkats 8-2. The victory was familiar territory for Bellmont who now have three in a row.

Bella Ashley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits.

At the plate, Emily Bleke and Makenzie Mankey did most of the damage at the plate: Bleke scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Mankey scored a run while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Sami Christen, who went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI.
