Baseball Game Preview: Dayton Broncos vs. Brenham Cubs

For the second straight game, Dayton will face off against Brenham. The Broncos will square off against the Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dayton's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Brenham's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Dayton heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brenham. The Broncos just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Zak Wood was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Anthony Zuniga also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

Brenham has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Dayton, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9-3.
