Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Pine Hills Adventist's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Adventure Christian came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Pine Hills Adventist, but Brennan Reese wouldn't allow it. The Pine Hills Adventist Eagles managed a 42-38 win over the Adventure Christian Warriors on Thursday thanks in part to Reese, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played.

Despite the defeat, Adventure Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Josiah Blackwell posted 20 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Jadon Wikoff was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Pine Hills Adventist has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Adventure Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Pine Hills Adventist will head out on the road to square off against Victory Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Adventure Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
