Basketball Game Preview: Ridgedale Rockets vs. Elgin Comets

The Ridgedale Rockets will take on the Elgin Comets in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Ridgedale ended up a good deal behind Pleasant and lost 53-39. The Rockets have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Elgin played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against West Jefferson, falling 52-18. The Comets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-8.

Ridgedale's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Elgin, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Ridgedale took their win against Elgin in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 54-29 score. Will the Rockets repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
