Baseball Recap: Osbourn Takes a Loss

Osbourn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Independence, falling 14-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Independence this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-0 back in April.

Osbourn's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Independence, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Osbourn will welcome Unity Reed at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.21 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Independence, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Osbourn Park at 6:00 p.m. Independence's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
