Baseball Recap: Hugo Comes Up Short

The Hugo Buffaloes lost 11-1 to the Byng Pirates on Thursday.

Zane Allen was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

Hugo has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Byng and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Hugo will host Broken Bow at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Broken Bow will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Hugo surely won't give up without a fight. As for Byng, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge McLoud at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
