Softball Recap: Hillhouse Comes Up Short

Hillhouse lost against Shelton back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Academics came up short against the Gaels, falling 15-1.

Hillhouse's loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Shelton, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-4.

Coming up, Hillhouse will be playing at home against Mercy at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Academics' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Shelton, they will face off against Branford at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.71 runs per game on average), something the Gaels will no doubt try to take advantage of.
