Basketball Recap: Kailana Tavares and Zion Soli Secure Win for Hawaiian Mission Academy

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Hawaiian Mission Academy and Island Pacific Academy, and Hawaiian Mission Academy kept the tradition alive. The Knights walked away with a 43-30 victory over the Navigators on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Navigators: they've now won seven in a row.

Hawaiian Mission Academy was led to victory by Zion Soli and Kailana Tavares. Soli went 9-for-14 on his way to 23 points in addition to six boards and three blocks, while Tavares dropped a double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Soli now owns an excellent 50% shooting accuracy.

Hawaiian Mission Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The victory got Hawaiian Mission Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Island Pacific Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
