Poth and Cole squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Poth had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cole Cougars by a score of 47-44. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Cole found their leader in sophomore Jayvin Ybarra, who shot 64% from the field on his way to 18 points. Aaron Braxton was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

Poth's loss dropped their record down to 21-12. As for Cole, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 29-7.

Poth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cole, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 83-32 defeat against Kountze on the 4th.
