Ware strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hopkins Academy Golden Hawks, sneaking past 3-1. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Indians have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Nate Kaczuwka made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Kaczuwka was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other pitching news, Brady Guimond looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

Kaczuwka wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brody Koczur, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Ware's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Hopkins Academy, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ware will host Turners Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hopkins Academy, they will challenge Easthampton/Hampshire at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
