Fort Payne entered their tilt with Springville on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Springville Tigers 59-40. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Tigers are ranked 113th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fort Payne is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for Springville, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.
