Seaforth dropped their record down to 8-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Chatham Central Bears, falling 6-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Hawks were not able to get on the board.

As for Chatham Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. Considering they have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

For Chatham Central's part, Maddie Kaczmarczyk made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Kaczmarczyk was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Heidi Vicente Perez and Madalyn Holton did most of the damage at the plate: Vicente Perez went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Holton went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Caleigh Warf, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
