Soccer Recap: Staley Comes Up Short

Staley lost against Blue Springs South back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Staley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Blue Springs South are ranked 18th).

Staley's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Blue Springs South, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Staley will square off against Blue Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Blue Springs' last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Blue Springs South, they will challenge Lee's Summit at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
