Softball Recap: Northwest Webster Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Central Calhoun on Monday, Northwest Webster came back down to earth. The Cougars lost 14-4 to the Sioux Central Rebels on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost eight in a row.

Northwest Webster's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Sioux Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Northwest Webster wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-3 defeat against Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire on the 13th. As for Sioux Central, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-0 loss against Estherville Lincoln Central on the 12th.
