Baseball Recap: Union County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Tri on Thursday, Union County came back down to earth. The Patriots fell 8-3 to the Lawrenceburg Tigers on Saturday. The Patriots have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Union County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dalton Creech, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Logan Boone, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Union County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Lawrenceburg, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7.

Union County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-3 victory against Oldenburg Academy on the 19th. As for Lawrenceburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against East Central on the 19th.
