Volleyball Recap: Georgetown Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Georgetown won the last time they faced Marcus and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Marauders by a score of 2-0.

Georgetown never let Marcus on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-19.

Georgetown's offense was headlined by Ellie Linebrink and Makenna Stengle, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Amelia Albright and her nine assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jordan Pitkethley, racking up two apiece.

Georgetown has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Marcus, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Georgetown has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Santa Fe on the 29th. As for Marcus, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Pearland on the 29th.
