Basketball Game Preview: West Davidson Dragons vs. South Davidson Wildcats

The West Davidson Dragons will challenge the South Davidson Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in West Davidson's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while South Davidson has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.

West Davidson will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating North Rowan, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. West Davidson secured a 53-47 W over North Rowan on Friday.

Meanwhile, South Davidson came up short against Asheboro Hybrid Academy on Monday and fell 49-38. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warriors 13-5 in the first quarter.

West Davidson is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points over those games. As for South Davidson, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-18.

West Davidson was able to grind out a solid win over South Davidson in their previous meeting back in January, winning 50-38. Will West Davidson repeat their success, or does South Davidson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
