Baseball Preview: San Tan Charter Roadrunners vs. Round Valley Elks

The San Tan Charter Roadrunners will take on the Round Valley Elks at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. San Tan Charter is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

San Tan Charter proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 12) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Williams.

Tyrus Colomer looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tommy Crupi, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
