While Portola didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with  a   15-12  victory over the Trinity Wolves  on Saturday. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Tigers.
Portola got a  massive  performance out of  Ainsleigh Pruitt, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave  Pruitt a new career-high in  RBI (two). Another player making a difference was  Kylie Morton, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
 Portola was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .350 or higher in five consecutive  games.
Portola's record is now 6-3-1. As for Trinity, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record  this season.
 Portola has already played their next contest,  an  18-5  win against Princeton on the 22nd. As for Trinity, they also  didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  an  11-0  defeat against Quincy on the 22nd.
