Baseball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Mary Catholic Central Falcons/Kestrels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons/Kestrels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-5 back in April.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for St. Mary Catholic Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will venture away from home to face off against Edsel Ford at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Mary Catholic Central, they will head out to square off against Greenhills at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
