Baseball Recap: Carroll Takes a Loss

Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dale County Warriors. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Grant Houston made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Dale County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-6.

Coincidentally, Carroll and Dale County will both be playing Pike County the next time they take the field. Dale County will head out to face Pike County at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Carroll will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
