Baseball Recap: Dunham Victorious

It's playoff time, and Dunham had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights by a score of 4-1 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-0 on Thursday.

Dunham got a great performance from Cole Richter as he tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, Richter posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2025.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brannon Cohn, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Ryder Greene was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Dunham and bumps their season record up to 17-19-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-15.

Looking ahead, Dunham will face off against Calvary Baptist Academy on Wednesday. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Lafayette Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
