Two dominant backs in Tyler Allen and Sir Autry are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Clairemont Chieftains are taking a road trip to square off against the Hoover Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Clairemont came up short against Canyon Hills and fell 29-17. The Chieftains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Hoover over Kearny in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Hoover blew Kearny out of the water with a 48-6 final score. The match marked the Cardinals' most dominant victory of the season.

Autry was his usual excellent self, rushing for 235 yards and four touchdowns. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hoover was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 235 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 162 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Hoover didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Yussuf Masudi, Rashad Lll, Jason Osuna, and Giovanny De La Mora picked up one apiece.

Clairemont's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hoover, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
