Calvert suffers fifth straight loss at home

Recap: Calvert Cavaliers vs. Huntingtown Hurricanes

The Calvert Cavaliers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight defeat. They fell 58-45 to Huntingtown. Calvert has not had much luck with the Hurricanes recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Leading Huntingtown to victory were Brady Swann and Nate Harris. Swann scored ten points along with two steals, while Harris scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Powell, who scored ten points along with four steals.

Calvert dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Huntingtown, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.

Calvert won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st. Patuxent has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29. As for Huntingtown, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st.
