Football Recap: Jefferson-Morgan Extends Winning Streak to Seven + How To Watch

Jefferson-Morgan put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 37-19 victory over the Bethlehem Center Bulldogs. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rockets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 481st).

A big part of Jefferson-Morgan's win came down to the chemistry between Triton Farabee and his top target Deakyn Dehoet. Farabee threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes while Dehoet picked up 203 receiving yards and three TDs. With that strong performance, Dehoet is now averaging an impressive 105.9 receiving yards per game.

One reason for the win was Jefferson-Morgan's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Dehoet with two. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more receiving touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Bethlehem Center's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Enzo Brown, who rushed for 197 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and Teagan Veatch, who rushed for 108 yards on only 15 carries. An impressive showing, but Brown really ramped things up playing D: he picked up two sacks, forced one fumble, and made 11 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Jefferson-Morgan's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Bethlehem Center, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Jefferson-Morgan will challenge Bentworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rockets will need to watch out since the Bearcats have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Bethlehem Center, they will face off against Mapletown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Maples' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
