Soccer Recap: Leander Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Friday. Leander fell just short of Lockhart by a score of 2-1. Leander was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Lockhart earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Leander's goal came courtesy of Kate Horvath, who's now up to four this season.

Leander has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11-4 record this season. Lockhart now has a winning record of 11-10-1.

Leander didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Glenn on the 11th. As for Lockhart, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 9-1 defeat against Rouse on the 11th.
