Baseball Game Preview: Madison Blue Streaks vs. Aurora Greenmen

The Madison Blue Streaks will be taking part in a tournament against the Aurora Greenmen at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Madison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Madison is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against West Geauga on Saturday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines.

NathaN YarNell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double. Logan Mullins also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Aurora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 9-6 to Chagrin Falls.

Carson Smith and Aydan Carlson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Smith went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Carlson got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Ryan Dwyer was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Aurora, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-19.
