Marshall had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bronson Vikings. This was payback for the Redhawks, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Marshall had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-21, 25-12, 25-23.
Jordyn St John had a dynamite game, getting 26 digs. Those 26 digs gave her a new career-high.
Despite the loss, Bronson still got an impressive performance from Itzel Albarran, who had 15 digs and 15 assists. Albarran has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last three times she's played.
