Basketball Recap: Dracut Takes a Loss

Dracut lost against Tewksbury Memorial last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dracut Middies took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tewksbury Memorial Redmen. While losing is never fun, the Middies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Redmen are ranked 38th).

Dracut dropped their record down to 5-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Tewksbury Memorial, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

Dracut didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-60 victory against Billerica Memorial on the 14th. As for Tewksbury Memorial, they will be playing at home against Belmont at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
