Baseball Game Preview: Warren Warriors vs. Brennan Bears

For the second straight game, Warren will face off against Brennan. The Warriors will host the Bears at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Warren 3.6, Brennan 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Warren will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Brennan, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Bears 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since March 28th.

Alex Garza spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Adrian Lopez was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Escarcega, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.

Warren's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-9. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Brennan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season.
