Baseball Recap: Four Corners Has No Trouble Against Haines City

After only two runs in their last game, Four Corners made sure to put some runs up on the board against Haines City on Monday. The Four Corners Coyotes blew past the Haines City Hornets 17-2. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Mateo Torres was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Yandriel Soto, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2.

Four Corners hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matchups.

Four Corners' win bumped their record up to 9-5-1. As for Haines City, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, Four Corners and Haines City will both be playing Ridge Community the next time they take the field. Four Corners will head out to face Ridge Community at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Haines City will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
