Goessel and Centralia squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Goessel had to settle for second. They fell 2-0 to the Panthers. The Bluebirds' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

While Goessel had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18.

Goessel's loss dropped their record down to 30-11. As for Centralia, they pushed their record up to 33-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Goessel's road trip will continue as they head out to face Little River at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centralia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
